<p>Aztalan’s story is just beginning, and you can be part of it!  ClonBio Group acquired Wisconsin’s largest ethanol plant in 2022 located in the village of Aztalan, just outside Jefferson, WI.  The facility will process 40 million bushels of locally grown feed corn per year, turning that into food-grade corn oil, vegetable protein concentrates and isolates for food applications, aquaculture feeds, renewable natural gas, organic fertilizer, ethanol, and dietary fiber for foods, among other things.  We are scheduled to start the facility in the fall of 2023 and are currently hiring! </p>
<p>Aztalan’s sister facility, Pannonia Bio in Hungary is one of the most technologically advanced grain biorefineries in the world.  Over the next several years, Aztalan will invest hundreds of millions of dollars into a biorefinery transformation every bit as innovative as Pannonia’s but uniquely suited to Wisconsin’s strengths.  Aztalan Bio is owned by ClonBio Group who is family-owned and invests in their people for long-term success.  We have a dedicated internal team of engineers and scientists from 23 countries and 5 continents, an investment in people that explains why ClonBio’s biorefineries are so technologically advanced. </p>
<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The Process Engineer will play a critical role in improving manufacturing processes and products, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability. Their expertise will be instrumental in recommending equipment and process enhancements, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and providing leadership.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Apply process safety management techniques to prevent, prepare for, mitigate, respond to and restore from catastrophic releases of chemicals or energy.</li>
<li>Identify and analyze hazards in the manufacturing processes and products within the ethanol plant.</li>
<li>Assess current equipment and processes, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for changes that are efficient, cost-effective, and promote quality and reliability.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and develop effective solutions to minimize downtime.</li>
<li>Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory requirements related to ethanol production and manufacturing processes.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong style="font-size: 16px;">Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering.</li>
<li>Experience working in an ethanol plant, grain processing facility, or wet mill is preferred.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Process Safety Management programs and Process Hazard Analysis for biological and chemical processes.</li>
<li>Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex issues and make data-driven decisions.</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, present reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrating initiative and delivering results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.</li>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Shipping and Receiving Operator</strong> at Aztalan Bio is responsible for unloading corn from incoming deliveries. In addition, the person in this role is responsible for loading corn by-products for outbound deliveries. The person in this role works with a team to ensure that deliveries and shipments are completed in a timely manner while maintaining quality and safety standards.</p>

<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Unload corn from trucks to the proper storage location at the facility.</li>
<li>Load corn by-products into trucks meeting all federal, state, and local regulations</li>
<li>Operate conveyors, meters, and bulk weighers to facilitate product loading.</li>
<li>Operate loading equipment to receive and deliver products including front-end loaders and lifts.</li>
<li>Compare load orders to actual loads to ensure the precision of the transport.</li>
<li>Perform any preventative and maintenance tasks as required.</li>
<li>Maintain a high level of work environment sanitation.</li>
<li>Provide excellent customer service while displaying a positive and professional attitude.</li>
<li>Participates in safety, health, and environmental programs.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>At least one (1) year of experience in shipping and receiving or as a material handler is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with the operation of front-end loaders, forklift trucks, man lifts, and related material handling equipment preferred.</li>
<li>Experience working in an industrial environment or grain elevator preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in the operation of a dry-mill ethanol plant preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with standard computer software programs like Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The IT Infrastructure Administrator at Aztalan Bio is responsible for planning, installing, and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports critical business needs for facility and office. The infrastructure systems may include, but are not limited to, hardware, software, servers, storage solutions, networks, or physical facilities.  The person in this role will be working closely with the corporate team to ensure the infrastructure is compliant and consistent with the overall company.</p>

<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Implement and maintain IT infrastructure components at the facility and office, including servers, storage, network, and security.</li>
<li>Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement processes to prevent future problems.</li>
<li>Work with corporate IT Team to identify business requirements and translate them into technical infrastructure specifications.</li>
<li>Ensure the infrastructure is aligned with the needs of the business while being compliant in IT policies and standards.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of software releases and new features and make recommendations for upgrades and enhancements.</li>
<li>Ensure team members are set up with appropriate IT equipment and provide technical support and training when needed.</li>
<li>Maintain system documentation and diagrams.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.</li>

<p>Aztalan’s story is just beginning, and you can be part of it!  ClonBio Group acquired Wisconsin’s largest ethanol plant in 2022 located in the village of Aztalan, just outside Jefferson, WI.  The facility will process 40 million bushels of locally grown feed corn per year, turning that into food-grade corn oil, vegetable protein concentrates and isolates for food applications, aquaculture feeds, renewable natural gas, organic fertilizer, ethanol, and dietary fiber for foods, among other things.  We are scheduled to start the facility in the fall of 2023 and are currently hiring! </p>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>This position supports the EH&amp;S program as well as the site security program.  They ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations &amp; guidelines, provide effective periodic training to site employees, to identify and work to prioritize and eliminate workplace hazards and environmental/sustainability activities. </p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain comprehensive written safety standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with industry regulations and best practices.</li>
<li>Regularly monitors changing safety requirements, and updates safety practices and documentation to reflect changes in regulations, industry best practices, and company requirements.</li>
<li>Organizes, develops, and carries out appropriate safety and security training for employees.</li>
<li>Actively participates in/facilitates the plant safety committee.</li>
<li>Conducts regular site safety and security inspections and audits. Responsible for developing corrective action and preventative plans and timelines for identified compliance gaps or internal trends.</li>
<li>Oversee site incident and injury reporting, investigation, and recordkeeping. Assist in the management of worker’s compensation claims and the Return-to-Work program.</li>
<li>Ensure the timely completion of all required reporting to external agencies. Maintain the site recordkeeping program.</li>
<li>Evaluate and procure safety equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Advises the company on all aspects of fire protection; ensures proper selection and operation of fire warning and fire-fighting equipment and procedures; and maintains statutory records in this respect,</li>
<li>Ensures that contractors and their coordinators are properly briefed to work on-site in accordance with the Company&#8217;s rules, practices and governmental regulations.</li>
<li>Liaise with the Company&#8217;s insurers on matters relating to employee liability claims, fire prevention/detection, and other regulations/requirements.</li>
<li>Ensures all security procedures are well understood and known for emergencies (e.g. evacuation, fire, tornado, etc).

</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma and a minimum of three years of safety-related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Associate or Bachelor’s degree in EHS or another related field is preferred</li>
<li>Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.</li>
<li>Knowledge of security and safety precautions related to facility management.</li>
<li>Current compliance with required ongoing EHS training, minimum 40 hours per year.</li>
<li>Experience with access control and video surveillance systems.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of computers is necessary to work with spreadsheets, word processing, and email; including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal skills will be required to communicate with all levels of the facility and company.</li>
<li>Ability to gather, comprehend and screen/analyze information in a variety of media (regulations, bulletins, research, etc.) and disseminate to management, supervisors, employees, etc. in suitable ways such as training, memos, reports, presentations, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to assess and investigate situations in order to recommend corrections or improvements to site systems and environment based on interpretation of standards.</li>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The Production Shift Supervisor at Aztalan is responsible for the overall production operations of their assigned area and shift.  Maintains smooth production and eliminates immediate issues, by making first line decisions, by monitoring production performance and by monitoring activities happening at the area. Initiates and follows up actions to eliminate abnormal states as situational problem-solving. Develops and evaluates the performance and capabilities of production operating staff.  Ensures and maintains a healthy and safe working environment.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Supervises process operators on a 24-hour rotating shift to maintain safety while meeting production goals.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Communicate regularly with all process operators, both individually and as a group, to ensure consistent operation among the shifts.</li>
<li>Provide expectations and parameters to lead operators for plant production</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Inspects plant via a standard, scheduled walk-about to identify problems, observe work performance, and reinforce safety standards.</li>
<li>Ensure the finished products are consistently produced at a high-quality level and are compliant with company and industry standards.</li>
<li>Understand and interpret QA/QC results and instruct leads to take appropriate action when required.</li>
<li>Works on specific tasks assigned as part of problem-solving process including collecting data, performing tests and experiments, developing options, evaluates tests and solutions.</li>
<li>Maintain and update operating procedures and training manuals for process operations. Ensure that all process operators are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures.</li>
<li>Makes decisions on production issues that fall outside of lead operators or would be not a generally acknowledged practice.</li>
<li>Approves and follows up servicing, maintenance, or other work requiring lockout tagout activities. Issues lockout tagout permits, raise the awareness of health and safety issues and monitors adherence to lockout tagout and safety procedures</li>
<li>Assist with hiring of plant personnel.</li>
<li>Observe and evaluate production employees’ performance and capabilities, provide training and direction to perform tasks, and provide feedback to the production manager. Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and teams to safely achieve goals and develop them to their full potential.</li>
<li>Conduct regular, timely reviews and yearly performance reviews for all direct reports and ensure timely review of hourly personnel.</li>
<li>Promote and encourage safe working practices.
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering preferred field preferred. Other degrees will be given consideration and five years related experience or a combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>Three years’ experience in the operation of an ethanol plant, chemical plant, or refinery.</li>
<li>Experience in a management and/or supervisory role</li>
<li>Working experience with industries using process equipment, process control, and SCADA</li>
<li>Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of computers including MS Office, and Excel.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal skills will be required to communicate with employees and other departments.</li>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>Oversees the daily operation of an assigned area of the production process within the plant. Working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule while maintaining a safe work environment. Monitors and maintains production quality and equipment, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the Company.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Monitor the operation of the plant constantly to monitor production and quality, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot, anticipate and correct problems associated with plant operations. May need to inspect different areas of the plant to locate problems.</li>
<li>Review the slurry and fermentation process to ensure accuracy and the highest quality of product. (Slurry Operator)</li>
<li>Review the distillation and evaporation process to ensure accuracy and the highest quality of the product. Certification of the ethanol before it can be transported. (D&amp;E Operator)</li>
<li>Document and monitor process variables, sample data and routine tasks as required for position, to ensure plant operations are maintained within operating parameters.</li>
<li>Monitor use and inventories of process chemicals and supplies.</li>
<li>Communicate with the lab to anticipate or remedy any problems to ensure the highest quality and optimize the facility’s efficiency.</li>
<li>Communicate with the maintenance department to anticipate or fix problems in a timely manner. Prepare equipment to ensure it is safe for maintenance/contractors to perform scheduled work.</li>
<li>Handle chemicals according to the MSDS safety sheets.</li>
<li>Cross train with other operators to assure adequate coverage during unexpected interruptions in the plant. May need to watch the boards when a supervisor has to step away.</li>
<li>Participate in projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.</li>
<li>Perform scheduled Operations Work Requests as requested by Supervisor or Plant Management.</li>
<li>Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs (LOTO-lock out tag out, Safe Work Permit, FSMA-Food Safety Modernization Act). Participate in programs and procedures required to ensure safe work practices and plant cleanliness.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned to maintain a safe, reliable, and consistent operation.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>0-2 Years’ relevant experience.</li>
<li>Associate degree in Process Technology or equivalent is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in an Ethanol Processing plant preferred.</li>
<li>Able to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures for operation of plant and associated equipment.</li>
<li>Basic computer operation and data entry skills.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, time management, multi-tasking, and problem skills.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Maintenance Technician &#8211; Electrician </strong>is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment in our facility. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical machinery and systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The <strong>Maintenance Technician &#8211; Electrician </strong>will collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production teams to support manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform preventive and planned maintenance and ad-hoc (mainly electrical) jobs as requested by Shift Production Supervisor, Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Planner.</li>
<li>Maintaining and repairing the electrical network and devices of the facility.</li>
<li>Maintaining and repairing of lighting systems of the facility.</li>
<li>Installs power supply wiring, conduit, and electrical engines for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers.</li>
<li>Electrical sectioning as needed, checking and maintaining if needed.</li>
<li>Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.</li>
<li>Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses with other maintenance team members to repair said malfunction.</li>
<li>Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.</li>
<li>Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.</li>
<li>Active participation in planned plant shut downs to determine the electrical maintenance requirements of systems and devices within the facility.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 2 years of related electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably chemical or food manufacturing.</li>
<li>Registered Electrician within the state of Wisconsin</li>
<li>Journeyman Electrician, Industrial license preferred</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively as a team member</li>
<li>Exhibit flexibility, reliability and mutual respect for fellow employees</li>
<li>Strong safety and math aptitude</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Laboratory Technician</strong> helps to implement the quality assurance (QA) program for the facility.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Implements facility’s QA program based on best practice in the ethanol industry by sampling various points in the process and conducting QA tests.</li>
<li>Ensures accuracy of analysis of samples and provides results in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Monitors use and inventories of laboratory chemicals and supplies.</li>
<li>Operates, maintains, and calibrates laboratory equipment.</li>
<li>Reviews reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for adjusting process conditions to ensure that quality assurance standards are met.</li>
<li>Maintains safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the QA laboratory are met at all times.</li>
<li>Participates in the safety program for the QA laboratory.</li>
<li>Communicates directly with production department to ensure effective participation by the process operators in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Implements programs and procedures required to ensure laboratory and plant cleanliness.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>Associates (or higher level) degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field.</li>
<li>Prior laboratory work experience related to quality control/assurance in a manufacturing or food processing environment.</li>
<li>Experience operating and troubleshooting automated laboratory equipment (such as HPLC or GC) preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) preferred.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of computers including MS Office, and Excel LIMS, Pi or SAP preferred and the willingness to learn new software applications.</li>
</ul>

<p>Aztalan’s story is just beginning, and you can be part of it!  ClonBio Group acquired Wisconsin’s largest ethanol plant in 2022 located in the village of Aztalan, just outside Jefferson, WI.  The facility will process 40 million bushels of locally grown feed corn per year, turning that into food-grade corn oil, vegetable protein concentrates and isolates for food applications, aquaculture feeds, renewable natural gas, organic fertilizer, ethanol, and dietary fiber for foods, among other things.  We are scheduled to start the facility in the fall of 2023 and are currently hiring!</p>
<p>Aztalan’s sister facility, Pannonia Bio in Hungary is one of the most technologically advanced grain biorefineries in the world.  Over the next several years, Aztalan will invest hundreds of millions of dollars into a biorefinery transformation every bit as innovative as Pannonia’s but uniquely suited to Wisconsin’s strengths.  Aztalan Bio is owned by ClonBio Group who is family-owned and invests in their people for long-term success.  We have a dedicated internal team of engineers and scientists from 23 countries and 5 continents, an investment in people that explains why ClonBio’s biorefineries are so technologically advanced.</p>
<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The Scalehouse Technician at Aztalan Bio is responsible for weighing, sampling and grading all inbound and outbound deliveries. The person in this role will ensure that incoming deliveries are of the proper quality level to be processed in the plant. In addition, the Lab / Scalehouse Technician will confirm that all ethanol and corn by-products leaving the facility are up to Aztalan Bio’s quality standards.</p>

<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Properly weigh, sample, and grade inbound and outbound products to ensure specifications are met.</li>
<li>Operate computerized scales (SAP software system) to ensure accuracy.</li>
<li>Prepare scale receipts and enter deliveries into the database.</li>
<li>Monitor contracts, invoices, and other documents for customer signatures, following up with customers to ensure signatures are executed.</li>
<li>Interface with QA/QC laboratory to ensure QA/QC policies and procedures are being followed.</li>
<li>Inspect equipment daily to ensure tools are properly calibrated and working efficiently.</li>
<li>Provide excellent customer service while displaying a positive and professional attitude.</li>
<li>Ensure the business office and scale area are maintained in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.</li>
<li>Participates in safety, health, and environmental programs.</li>
<li>Other tasks as defined by supervisor.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>Two (2) years of related experience operating automated scales to weigh and grade grading products.</li>
<li>Basic math skills are required.</li>
<li>Customer service skills working with truck drivers.</li>
<li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and technical procedures.</li>
<li>Experience with standard computer software programs like Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of Aztalan Bio LLC. This position will matrix report to the ClonBio finance department and Aztalan Bio CEO.  They will support the CEO in the execution of company strategy and finance, accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and tax and treasury responsibilities across the business, providing timely insights to guide decision-making at operational and strategic levels.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Prepares, schedules, and manages General Ledger activity for monthly and year-end GAAP audit and tax compliance. Drive the month-end accounting process to ensure the month close is completed accurately.
<ul>
<li>Assist with the financial close by preparing complex account reconciliations, and accruals, recording journal entries, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation.</li>
<li>Manages cash flow requirements via daily cash receipt and disbursement analysis.</li>
<li>Monitors Accounts Receivable and coordinates proactive collection efforts.</li>
<li>Manages daily banking activity and is the primary finance/treasury contact for banks and other relevant authorities and institutions.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Prepares, reviews, and analyzes company financial statements including all revenue, expense, and balance sheet detail, and reports to senior management, owners, and lenders.</li>
<li>Conducts a monthly analysis of actual results versus budget and prior periods identifying trends and cost concerns. Partner with management to develop and initiate corrective actions, process improvements, and cost control measures.</li>
<li>Report financial information to the ClonBio finance department for overall company roll up.</li>
<li>Ownership for the development and implementation of accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of interim and year-end financial statements.</li>
<li>Develops and maintains the annual budgets, projections, and forecasts.</li>
<li>Implement and maintain cost accounting systems and controls to accurately track manufacturing costs and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Analyze cost drivers, identify areas for cost reduction, and develop strategies to improve operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Overall management of the external auditor relationship and audit process according to US GAAP.</li>
<li>Create and maintain a culture within the Finance function and wider business that strives for continuous improvement and rewards outstanding performance, delivering best-in-class financial governance and control.</li>
<li>Lead, motivate, and manage the accounting team through proactive goal setting, guidance, and coaching.</li>
<li>Build cross-functional relationships across the company to develop communication and influence across the business, leveraging expertise for financial decisions.</li>
<li>Oversees the safeguarding of all corporate assets.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA (active or Inactive) and/or MBA a plus.</li>
<li>Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience. Experience with full-cycle accounting.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of US GAAP and reporting.</li>
<li>Hedge accounting and IFRS experience a plus</li>
<li>Experience within a high-volume complex manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Experience with Great Plains Software a plus</li>
<li>Strong product costing and cost management expertise</li>
<li>Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.</li>
<li>Advanced skills in spreadsheet and financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and geographies.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.</li>
</ul>
